To ask for your vote!Last week, I was notified that Hand Craft Yoga has been nominated for the 2024 Best of Bulverde/Spring Branch Award! The contest is intended to highlight locally owned and operated businesses and their services, as voted by the community. I'm so honored to be in the running! There are several categories and a bunch of awesome businesses listed. Check it out and give your favorites some love! While you're at it, vote for Hand Craft Yoga! ✅ A big Thank YouTHANK YOU for all of your donations to the "Christmas in July" Food Drive! We collected over 100 rolls of toilet paper to give to Provisions in Bulverde and checked off many other items on their wishlist. Way to go, team! Heads up for my garden friends:I just received notice from Spring Creek Garden Center that they won't be able to host our garden yoga class this Wednesday, 8/7, due to some construction. We apologize for the inconvenience! Maybe instead of garden yoga on Wednesday, you can come to one of the studio classes, either 12-1 pm(Basics) or 7-8:15 pm(Immersion). Have you heard about this Saturday? It's almost time for our once-a-month Saturday yoga class from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Join us this Saturday, August 10th! BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: Right after the yoga class ends, plan to stay and enjoy a Sound Bath with Cherie Sisneros! Essentially, a sound bath is a meditative experience designed to “bathe” listeners in sound waves, using several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations. It is possible that these vibrations could lead you deeper into a state of contemplation or relaxation, soothing the nervous system. There is only one way to find out! While this class is located at the Hand Craft Yoga studio, it is a separate class from my membership/passes. The sound bath is normally $20, but Cherie is giving a discount to Hand Craft yoga students! It will be $15 each, and you can pay her when you come to class. Let me know you're coming to the yoga class by clicking the button below:
Thanks for reading, y'all! I look forward to seeing you soon. With love, Monica |
I was writing my first Hand Craft Yoga Newsletter! Here's a throwback to that moment on this day three years ago: The subject line was "Where were you 10 years ago?" "I was deciding to become a yoga teacher. After a life-changing family vacation, I embarked on a year of self-study beginning September 2011, and by the end of 2012, I had enrolled in a 200-hour teacher training. The first official classes I got to teach were in April of 2013. After an estimated 2,350 hours of teaching, another...
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can! This quote by Arthur Ashe is one of my favorites. As it turns out, five years ago, I posted a blog on the topic. I have shared it before, and I'll share it again! “You can’t get there from here” is the punch line to one of my grandfather’s favorite stories from his younger days. **SPOILER ALERT… You can get there!** For a great photo of my grandfather and a quick read on the topic of “How to Get There”, check out the blog by clicking...
One week left to sign up! Picture this... you've just eaten a delicious, homemade meal that you didn't have to shop for, cook, or clean up after. You've done yoga without having to go anywhere.
