That food won't drive itself!

Put it in your car and bring it over

It's not too late, you still have 1 week to donate food or funds to our annual food drive benefiting Provisions in Bulverde. We are extending the collection through Monday, December 4.

Thank you all for your contributions so far. I look forward to hauling it to the food bank with Winnie for her birthday on Tuesday, 12/5. Bravo, team!

We could all use a little peace and harmony...

This is why you should plan to attend the dynamic duo of Yoga + Sound Bath this Saturday, 12/2. Can you believe that this is the last Saturday class of 2023?!

Come on over for an all-level yoga class from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Right after the yoga class ends, you can stay and enjoy a Sound Bath with Cherie Sisneros from 10:30 to 11:30 am.

Essentially, a sound bath is a meditative experience designed to “bathe” listeners in sound waves, using several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations.

It is possible that these vibrations could lead you deeper into a state of contemplation or relaxation, soothing the nervous system. There is only one way to find out!

While this class is located at the Hand Craft Yoga studio, it is a separate class from my membership/passes. The sound bath is normally $20, but Cherie is giving a discount to Hand Craft yoga students! It will be $15 each, and you can pay her when you come.

Ready to commit to Saturday Yoga at 9:30 am? Prove it by clicking the button below!

Tomorrow is Wednesday

Since this week holds the last Wednesday of the month, I will be enjoying the "happy hour hang out" after the garden yoga class. Can you come and wine down with me?

First, an all-level yoga class at the beautiful Spring Creek Garden Center from 5:30 to 6:25 pm. Drop into class for just $10 (or use one of your passes!). Perhaps you'll stay after and treat yourself to a tasty beverage. The Gathering Haus will be open for 30 minutes post-class for a little wine-down time.

Yes, this means there will not be a 7 pm class this Wednesday 11/29. I hope you can head over to the garden center instead for a very happy hour with yours truly! Let me know you're coming to Spring Creek by clicking the button below:

Just one more date to save...

We are crafting a very special Holiday Restorative workshop to help us welcome winter this year! Mark your calendar for Friday, December 22, from Noon to 2:30 pm. More details to come in next week's newsletter.

Whew!

After all that updating, it may be time for a glass of wine. Perhaps you'll join me tomorrow?

With love,

Monica

P.S. If anyone is looking to procure a massage table, a fellow yoga student has a nice one available. It is a Custom Craftworks Athena, and they're asking $250. It could make a great Christmas gift! For more info, just reply to this email.

a very silly holiday Did you know that tomorrow is "National Send a Card to a Friend Day"? This doesn't mean a text, a post, or an email, no. This day calls for snail mail, baby. 🐌 I don't know about you, but I get really excited when I see a mysterious, brightly colored envelope in the mailbox. I like to guess who sent it by studying the handwriting on the front, before looking at the return address. I think one of the reasons snail mail is so special is the connection it sparks. It took...

How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh? Ten tickles. Just squidding! I can hear you now..."Monica, please, don't octopy my time with this useless humor." Don't worry, these terrible jokes are relevant to the subject of our third book for "Winnie's Book Club"! We will be reading Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. If you are interested in joining us this go-round, simply read the book! And SAVE THE DATE (put it in ink!) for the club meeting to talk about Remarkably...
